It carried rules and permissions, often decided by parents, in-laws, or occasions deemed worthy. As a young girl, I remember looking at pieces locked away in cupboards or safes - worn only for weddings or ceremonies. They felt less like joy and more like inheritance. When I stepped into larger cities, into new worlds of work and society, I saw a different reality. Diamonds weren’t just adornments; they were signals.
